BIOGRAPHY - BRYAN LAMONTAGNE

I am a fluently bilingual (English / French) Learning & Development professional, educator, certified facilitator, trainer, consultant and coach with a passion for learning, and for Customer Experience in all its forms. With over 30 years of cross-industry experience, my perception-based approach, combined with an extraordinary ability to ‘read’ people and to quickly distill complex information down to usable form, creates the ideal conditions for success. My background in hospitality, sales, customer service and operations provides the perfect blend of rational and emotional, process and soft skills.

Corporately, I have served in a Regional Marketing capacity, and as National Manager of Retailer Training and Development for Volvo Cars of Canada Ltd. I spent time with TELUS as a Learning Consultant, delivering onboarding and leadership development programs, and consulted with BMW Group Canada as a Retailer Performance Management Coach, helping BMW Retailers with process improvement. As a Consumer Experience Manager with the Ford Motor Company, I was a key member of their Consumer Experience Movement initiative, and – most recently – I acted as the Manager, Brand Value Delivery with Mazda Canada Inc., overseeing Brand Engagement, as well as culture and product initiatives. Prior corporate roles include time with Air Canada, and a long stint with Jack Astor’s Bar and Grill, where I actually invented a signature cocktail!

As a facilitator and consultant, I have successfully delivered programs – both in-person and virtually – for: Acura, CIBC, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, McDonalds Canada, Mitsubishi Motors, National Bank, and Scotiabank. My delivery style – authentic, upbeat and fun – always results in positive feedback from participants.

In 2019, I was invited to join the faculty of the Automotive Business School of Canada, as an instructor at the Canadian Dealer Academy.

I’m currently loving Montreal, where I grew up and where I earned an Honours degree in Marketing and Management from Concordia University. I enjoy being outside, scratching random dogs’ ears, eating good food and drinking good beer. A recovering 4-time Ironman triathlon finisher, I try to stay in shape, just a lot more slowly now, and without the obsession.

I can always be reached for inquiries, or just for a story and a laugh!
